Frequently Asked Questions

Any work where the physical act of painting, drawing, sculpting, or printing is performed primarily by a machine you built. A human designer, programmer, or operator is expected — the robot is the artist, you're the maker of the artist. Every artwork submission must include a video showing the robot creating the piece.

No. CNC plotters, drawing arms, generative pipelines with a human at the keyboard — all welcome. We just ask that you're honest in your description about how autonomous the process is, and that the physical creation is performed by the machine.

In the current (introduction-only) mode, buyers make a private offer and the builder receives it in their inbox. Accepting an offer opens a direct email thread between the two parties; the sale itself happens off-platform. Once the full marketplace is activated, payments, escrow, and shipping tracking will be built in.

Yes. Each team member creates their own account, and the team leader adds them to the robot's team page by email. Members confirm the association before their name goes public.

While the marketplace is in introduction-only mode, the platform charges nothing. When the full marketplace activates, a configurable commission (default 8%) applies to sales that run through the site. Featured placements and the optional Pro builder subscription are the other revenue sources.

Absolutely — we love building a public archive. Mark pieces as sold and optionally hide the price and buyer. Use the "commissioned by" field if a piece was made for a specific person or organisation outside the site.
